Call for Papers – CUSWG Postgraduate Research Conference

Cardiff University Society for Women Graduates will be hosting a Postgraduate Research Conference on 6th June in association with the Doctoral Academy. The conference will be made up of 15-20 minute papers from students across all disciplines. There will also be keynotes from Dr Samantha Hibbits, Dean of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and from representatives from the British Federation of Women Graduates.

We invite female identifying and non-binary postgraduate students at Cardiff University to submit abstracts based on their current or future research. This event is interdisciplinary and has an open theme, in order to invite submissions from all fields of academic research.

Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Key findings in current research
  • Plans for future research based on current projects
  • Areas of interest that have not been included in final research projects
  • Challenges in research that have been overcome

This is an ideal conference in which to practice research papers for  future conferences, if you so wish. We are also particularly keen to receive abstracts from students who have not yet had the opportunity to present their research in a conference setting. The aim of this conference is to provide a supportive environment in which researchers can be confident that their work will be received in a constructive way.

CUSWG is also hosting a Public Speaking Workshop on 2nd May in the Student’s Union Building from 5pm (meet in the second floor reception). All potential speakers are welcome to attend.

Please send abstracts of no more than 200 words to . The closing date for submission is Monday 20th May, 5pm.
